About this year’s Event
Legasis celebrates World Environment Day adopting the UNEP theme of
Ecosystem restoration – Reimagine | Recreate |Restore
in association with BSE.
Through the Celebration of World Environment Day, Legasis seeks to insight corporate actions toward Ecosystem Restoration and examine small actions:
a) One micro-ecosystem at a time; Manage your own garden, yard, business premises or school.
b) Start dense urban micro-forests; Greening your home, business, school, or a public space with indigenous trees or plants and make compost.
c) Make Smart Choices by; Halting purchases of products and services that are not certified as sustainable.
d) Raise Your Voice By; Putting on or participating in an exhibition of posters, photos or art showing the beauty of local ecosystems
The economic benefits of such interventions exceed nine times the cost of investment, whereas inaction is at least three times more costly than ecosystem restoration.
